Eco-Friendly Benefits of Organic Cotton

By choosing organic cotton, we're supporting the use of natural farming methods. Soil that produces organic cotton becomes healthier and yields more crops without the need for toxic, man-made fertilizers or pesticides. Any animals or birds that may ingest the crops or water run-off from organic farms are spared from the harm of toxic chemicals that are produced widely by the textile industry.

Reduced Exposure to Toxins

The amount of harmful pesticides used in conventional cotton is staggering. In India, for example, conventional cotton only takes up 5% of the farmland, but it accounts for 55% of pesticide usage in the country. That’s why we have chosen to only use organic cotton, guaranteeing chemical-free, non-GMO cotton from seed to harvest to end product. As the demand for organic cotton continues to rise, it starts to diminish the exposure farmers and factory workers have with the toxic chemicals.

Polyester, the common alternative to cotton in clothing, apparel, and textiles, is a synthetic fabric, a form of plastic that's usually derived from petroleum. Not only is this industry contributing to the high level of toxic greenhouse gases in our environment, but also, Polyester is not biodegradable and can shed toxic microfibers. While cotton, wool, and silk will completely biodegrade within a few months to a few years, as a plastic, polyester requires hundreds of years to biodegrade completely.

If it has been longer than 16 days and you still have not received your order, please contact us, and we will do our best to either find your package or place a new order if that one is determined lost in the mail.
